2008+ tru trac production needs consumers
Hey all, i've posted this on other forums as well, please read...
I know this has all been gone over about the tru trac for 08 and later titans. Well I called and talked to Brent at Detroit TruTrac division today. He stated that it would take 100 or more consumers in order to R&D the tru trac for the 08 later guys. Brent also stated that one of their largest distributors Powertrain Truck and Auto Parts Inc. would have to have an order sent to Detroit tru trac by the consumers (titan owners) who wanted a tru trac developed. I spoke with Kevin at Powertrain Truck and AutoParts Inc and explained the situation with him about how there are more than 100 08+ titan owners who want the tru trac and what would have to be done to get an order in process. Kevin will get back to me monday when he talks to Eaton and see what they are willing to do. Sounds like a vicious circle but this will take effort from all the titan owners who have 08 newer models to bombard Powertrain Truck and Autoparts inc to get the ball rolling. I understand the stipulations of cost to R&D a new part compared to the sale of the item, but Eaton already has a tru trac for the titan to compare and modify if need be or design a whole new diff. so let the consumer make an effort and see if we can get a tru trac. Also, lets not bring up the nissan titan merger to being built by dodge... If interested... Call 1-866-589-4327 and speak to Kevin EXT100. See if you guys can get a different answer by asking questions that I or anyone else hasn't. Its worth a try.

Just spoke with Kevin and they would need approx $600 up front from at least 100 people and R&D would take about 6-8 months. I don't really see this happening.
