I had 2 axle seal leaks, and when the second one was being done, the dealer said the oil was contaminated and I needed a new rear end! So, I got a 2008 axle installed back in June 2009 at 55K Miles! My regular Mechanic noticed a slight leak when doing my brakes, I had not been aware of it. Lost my TrueTrac of course. I wonder sometimes if I should have kept the axle, changed oil and had it check at an independent axle shop, but did not have the money for the risk. I do like having a heavier duty axle, hope it makes a difference and the seal issue is solved by it.
