New Poll: What do you think of the kickoff rule change?

One of the rule changes for this year's season is moving the kickoff from the 35 yardline back to the 30. This will force a lot more kickoffs to be returned instead of being downed in the endzone. Proponents love it because it will keep the game moving and add more excietement, and opponents hate it because it could cause more big hits resulting in injuries. What do you think?

I think it will be good. Didn't they just do that because of the new clock management thing. This way they offset each other.

That's one off the reasons. They're trying to tweak the rules to get the game to where they want it. Don't remember exactly what length that was...

I think it stinks!!! Our kick off coverage is horrible so we need all the help we can get. I wish we could kick off from the 50!! lol

For the game it will be better I think. It brings the kick off back into the game instead of watching the ball go through the endzone every time, but I bet they change it back next season because I think it will increase the # of injuries. ESPN will do some huge story if a lot of kids start getting hurt and then they will talk about how bad it is........its football get over it!

This rull rocks. Kinda like bringing some of the defunct XFL into the College game. Imagine all those kids running full out with 4.2-4.5 speed into a guy waiting for a ball to drop into his hands and then try to get by a wall of defenders. SOUNDS LIKE A WINNER TO ME!!
