I will be going up on Friday night, but will have to come home that night as well. But I do want to just meet quite a few people.

pigeon forge meet...sept 28,29 and 30. still 2 rooms left @ 250 per room for the 3 nights....

This would be a GREAT! Mini-Vacation for someone. These cabins are extremely nice with ALL amenities. All you will have to supply is food. There are a lot of free/strongly discounted things that John has lined up that are VERY expensive.

We went to Dolly Wood in July and it was $47.00 a PERSON.

I won't be able to make it. My company is sending me for new software training in New Hampshire on September 26,27,28. Not sure what time I will be getting home on Friday, but it will probably make it impossible to make the 10 hour drive in time for the meet to start.

My boss is currently trying to get the software peeps to come down to us in NJ...which I think they should have done in the FIRST place. ::) So maybe this will change before the meet. The room is paid for, but I hadn't officially taken the time off yet at work. I'll know more this week.

If the sfotware nerds come to the home office, try to move the time table up so we can leave Thursday night. I don't want to venture through Friday traffic and then be tired for Saturday.

We did...and after a month of no riding, got rid of them to get the 2007 GT. ::) I don't know WHY we thought we'd want to ride in New Jersey...I was smoking the good stuff apparently.

I am going to pseudo-reserve the last room. We are going to be bringing our neighbor Dante, who is 18 and a freakin RIOT :) He is always helping us with our car/truck projects, and is just a hilarious person. I will know today or tomorrow for sure if he is coming. I'll send John a PM now.

For those that don't know, there is a HUGE fireworks outlet when you first come into town. I'm talkin a friggin WALMART sized superstore of things that go boom!

Yes, we are hardcore road trippers...especially on 1-81. I used to drive from Blacksburg to Washington, D.C. every single weekend to go home. Love to travel at night.

Lemme tell ya...rest stop naps in a Mustang GT is not the most comfortable rest one can get :P

There is absolutely no way to go south-west without going through Washington DC... therefore, we plan our travel around the rush hour (which starts at 4am and ends at 10pm as best I can tell)

The beltway "averages" 4 lanes. In some spots, like before it splits off to Rt-270, it is maybe 7 lanes across, but typically stays around 4 lanes the entire length.

I don't blame you. My parents' house is 3 miles from the DC line, and I had to drive that dang beltway every day from school to work, work to school...BLEECCH!!! No wonder I ended up at Virginia Tech.

Sugar Maple Cabins, 1735 Upper Middle Creek Rd, Sevierville TN 37876.

From the main Parkway in Pigeon Forge turn left at traffic light number 8. Follow that road round the left bend and make sure to be in the right lane, bare right towards the Dollywood and the Gatlinburg Golf Course. Stay straight on this road for 3 miles, Sugar Maple will be on the left hand side down a long straight away, the cabins we have are right behind the office. CHECK IN IS AT 3PM.
