Rattle

[RIDER]

There is a slight rattle from time to time when I go over small bumps.

It seems to be in the overhead console or the dash area.

How do I stop it?

I had one in the the overhead console. I opened all the compartments and tightened all the screws. No more rattle. My passenger seat still rattles badly though.

i have rattles and creaks all over the cab in the truck i think it is all the plastic.....

I ws going to tell you to check the front 10 mm bolt that is in the sunglass holder area. Many early 04 titans had a torque problem on the line and they torqued that bolt TOO MUCH and caused cracks which turn into rattles.

I had a rattle coming from the overhead console. Took that thing down yesterday, put some padding where I feel that the plastic was hitting the metals. did it the length of the console front to back. This morning driving to work I didn't hear a thing from it. Now to fix the cluster gauge rattle (but will wait till my overlay come in to do it at the same time). ;D

my 07 had a rattle in the overhead and like stephen said i just tigthened the nuts up and the rattle went away.
