Can be several things.

First off, do you get just a click? then your battery is dead as a door nail. Proceed to Autozone and get you a new one.

If it just turns over and over and over without starting it means it is either not getting air or fuel. So possible problems are fuel pump, fuel filter (especially if you use cheap gas), mass air flow sensor or really really really really dirty air filter. LOL

Another thing is that if you have an original battery in your 04, replace it now! They will die with out any warnings at all.

or your '05! My battery just died today!!! GRRR!!! I didn't think that it could be, jumped it and it ran...sat...and then died. Proceeded to Autozone and got a new battery. Will Nissan reimburse me?

Probably not. Even though batteries are in the 3 year 36k warranty, they have to do the work and replace the part in order for it to be warrantied.

What is funny is you go buy the exact same battery from the parts department to replace the battery that came in your truck and you will get up to a 7 year warranty.

Well that stinks!!! Too bad my battery didn't die on a M,T,W,R, or Friday. Unfortunately, I have to work and they are closed on Sundays! They need their days off too cause I know they work hard, but if I didn't change my battery, then I wouldn't be able to go to work... I guess that's not such a bad thing, but that's besides the point :) Oh well, I'll call tomorrow and see if they'll do anything, if not, I'll just take the battery back to Autozone and get my $12 back :)

It is underneath the intake runners on top of the motor. I do not know of anyone that has had to replace it yet.

Only hard start I have ever gotten was when its been out all night, and cold the next morning. I try to start, and it won't turn over. I stop, try again, and it usually fires right up.

7 Year warranty? How much to the batteries cost from the dealership...in general? Maybe I need to ask Jeff, huh? LOL

The one I bought was like $89 then I got $10 off that for returning the other one. They put a sticker on it that had 84 months on it and they punched the date in to show when it was purchased.

I said, so you will warranty this battery for this long, but won't warranty my other battery that is only 2 years old? LOL That is funny. But it did have 83,000 miles on it.

Well, I've had no problems with mine, yet (knock on wood) And it's the original.

That said, when I get off work tonight....it will probably be dead! LOL

I called the dealer today..they said pretty much what everyone I asked has said. They would pro rate the battery 25% since the truck has 33K on it and I would have to shell out the 75%. He also said that I would have to bring the truck in with the battery, they would have to write up a ticket, take the battery out of the truck, test it, and then give me a new battery. When he quoted me the price, he said it's prolly better that you bought your own battery. He said that the OEM replacement was like $120!!! So I would have ower something like 80... Good thing I got another one instead. Bought it from Autozone... 79.99 with 3 year free replacement and 8 year warranty total. I just hope it holds up. It's a little smaller than the original battery and doesn't fit in the compartment well...we'll have to see I guess.

Anyway, thanks for the help!
