This must be done by a dealership and it will take over 11 quarts of tranny fluid and that is with Nissan Matick J or equivalent. So far ONLY Amsoil has come out with a fluid that is claimed to be Matic J equivalent.

Expect to pay between $175 and $225 for this full service. I do a full flush every 30,000 miles.

I had this done at 60k....

Made a huge improvement and I got it for $149 I believe, will have to find the receipt, but it was better than the $250 I was expecting.

LOL That is funny. With the way you and red go through vehicles, I would probably never do maintenance. LOL

under 200 my local dealer wants 300+ to do the 30k on my truck. hummm wonder if it is because they have changed the diff 4 times and i pimp slapped the tech that left my brakelines loose and made the brakes fail on my wife when she was going to go get my kid from school. i need to get mine done truck has 64k on it now so its long over due but somehow i dont trust ny local dealers arround here being as most of their techs are incompetant at best. its real sad when it takes 3.5 hrs to do an alignment after putting the adjustment bolts in the front and the dummy left my steering wheel cocked left and the truck pulled right. i did a u turn about a block down the street and made them re do it with me reading the screen on the alignment machine. they were trying to leave one side at one end of the range and the other at the oposite end of the adj range. so if any of you know of any competant dealer service depts near lakelad i would loe to know

I joked around that I got rid of the F150 because it was time to change the oil... EVery time I changed the oil on that thing, I cut my hands up on the stupid fan. >:( Poor design.

Done last week for $170 plus tax. I was under the truck a few days later and noticed that they didn't touch the drain plug, is that normal?

Note the Royal Purple ATF indicates that it is Nissan Matic J equivalent.

More like meets or exceeds the requirements outlined by the Matic J specifications.

shailey

You can drain and fill.

If you drain and fill with something other than matic j you should manually flush the cooler and cooler lines. The procedure in the service manual outlines how to change the transmission fluid and flush the cooler and lines without "flushing" equipment.
