Yesterday on my way out to the camp i caretake i stopped for my normal 24oz cup of coffee. Stupidly i set it on the center armrest. (I have the steering console shifter style) I reached in the back and realized i bumped the coffee. It spilled on the seat and carpet but worse I could hear it draining in the storage compartment where i keep all my important business papers like the tax map. My ipod in the cup holder got wet but was ok. There was 2" of coffee in the bottom. Luckly most of the papers were ok but i spent 30 min at the gas station soaking up the coffee. The seat and carpet are stained and everything is sticky now. Then i got ten miles toward the camp to pick up a coworker and realized i forgot my camp keys. So irritating!

Man, if there is one thing I'm not happy with about my Titan, it's those center console cup holders on the bench seat model. I've had some very near misses that very well could have ended up like your accident.
It may be too little too late, but one thing I heard that works nicely is to cut up a rubber mouse pad into 2" wide strips and put a strip in each cup holder, to shrink down the inner diameter of the cup holders. I haven't tried it yet myself, but it sounds like a promising solution to these jumbo cup holders.

i know, you have to steer with one hand and hold the beverage with the other. thanks for the advice.

I just plain don't use it for anything smaller than Gatorade bottle haha. I use the pull out cup holder down below the radio/AC controls. It does a much better job of holding "normal" sized cups up to the 32 oz. cups from Taco Bell.

24oz of coffee is the biggest i can get or i would get more. lol. with the lower ones you have to reach all the way down there. lol. it is kinda annoying tho and my cord for the ipod's allways in the way.

I did the same thing, but was an idiot and didn't put a papertowel in my dip cup. Imagine that nasty mess :)
