Polished Bliss: Lamborghini Gallardo - Ne Plus Ultra (TM) - Detailing World (http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=79859)

All I can say is... wow.

55 HOURS of time put into a single car. That's probably more than I will EVER put into my truck, in total.

Looks great, and beautiful car!

But to be completely honest, it looks like any other car that has just undergone a nice buff and detail ??? I never would have guessed by the end pictures that he had spent so much time on it. I guess it's in the detailwork, but those details, like exhaust tips and scratches, can be prevented with frequent wipedowns and using the right drying methods. Maybe the rich can't be bothered with such trivialities? ;D

Looks good, but I think its overkill, I could probably spend three hours and it would look just as good.

thats an idiot. i whould have taken it and paid $80 buck and had it washed, and waxed by hand and only taken about 2 or 3 hours and spent the rest of the time riding around in it.

Well, to each their own and if the person spends $100,000 plus for a car and can afford it who really cares???

I guess there is also something to be said about taking pride in your work.

Man, and I thought I spent a lot of time detailing. There are some really good tips & info in that thread tho !! Kinda reminds me of some of the detailing threads on the Z & G sites, some of those guys have 30+ applications of Zano on their cars !! Just a bit over the top IMO.

I was also struck by just how much pride that kid was taking in his work. If a guy could find a dozen like that kid you'd have yourself a successful business, no matter what the business.

The difference is, it's HIS business and rep at stake !!
