Got a problem here. On the drivers side controls I think the switch for the back two windows is going/gone bad. I can roll the back ones down but rolling them up is "iffy". It acts like it is not giving the signal to the window motors to roll the windows up. BUT they work fine on the back door controls, its just on the drivers side controls. Any ideas?

What year is your truck? Because at one point I remember reading about either a recall or a TSB about the wiring between the front and the back getting chewed up from the doors opening and closing. It was known to cause problems with the speakers, and it wouldn't surprise me if it also caused your issue.

Yeah, my first thought would be to check those wires. It might be something that you would be able to see with the naked eye. Are you still under warranty, by any chance?

yeah but its the extended so it probably dont cover it...

My first suggestion, if you have the extended warranty, is to take it to the dealership and see what they say. Because if it's covered, then you don't have to worry about anything.

Thanks man! I sent this link to Jody also to get his info on the warranty side. I hate our local dealer so I wanted to see what he says on the warranty side. The wires you were talking about, they are in the door jam?

I would have said your regulators are bad but it's hard to tell from this vantage point lol. That should be covered under your extended.

Sure sounds like the driver controls are not working for some reason. Not sure how hard they are to get to, but if it's within your comfort zone you could test them with a volt meter to see if they are sending power when activated. That would isolate if it's the switchs or something in the wiring as Charles suggested.

If it were the regulator, I'd expect the windows to be balky even when using the controls from the back.
