I'd say they are very similar. I don't know the difference other than the name if any.

I've see it in person, it's very, very similar to the Desert Platinum Infiniti was putting on Q45's, G35's & M45's a few years ago. Sort of a silvery beige/sand color.

I saw a Desert Stone LE 4x4 while I had my truck at the dealership for some warranty work. Great looking color.

The funny thing is that when I was at the dealership I test drove the black. I went back the next day and a really good friend of mine was up there. When talking to him, he said he just got a truck...he bought my black crew cab that had the rebate. I got one of the only 08s with the rebate that were left.

Granted, I don't mind it since I had tons of upgrades...but black crew cab would have been money!

It sucks to see him when we play cards.

Assuming you live in the city and never see gravel, dust, dirt, road salt, rain....you get my point. The reason I bought my granite is because it hides the elements very well. Don't get me wrong, I like the galaxy black. But, I don't like detailing my truck every other day.

Dirt is dirt. I'd clean it if it were black, white or my color. I'd know it's there and I'm much more picky than the people I see.

However, birds...love the color. It's like it's a magnet :)

Not to mention it gets BLAZING HOT in the summer here in Florida - you can get 3rd degree burns just touching it. Plus, the almost daily rains hit the hot paint, then dry up quick after the 'daily rain' stops leaving horrible water spots !!

Yeah, I've owned 2. Truck and 96 Impala.

It's a pain, but well worth it. However, being in Texas with the tint + leather I had was never fun to get in at 3pm.

lol...yeah...it's a good thing I'm not in Houston. I think that is the worst heat I've felt.

The sad thing is, you kind of get used to it...or your brain gives up and stops telling your body how bad it is...or is that signs of a heat stroke!?!?

black may be beautiful and tan may be grand but WHITE is the color of the big boss man's truck lol

all kidding aside nice looking truck man im just partial to my blizzard white. i have had alot of black cars and i hate having to wait 5-10 min to get inside after you open the thing up so you dont get a heat stroke. as good as black looks on a vehicle i had to go with a white one here in fl since i have to park in the wide open sun all the time.
