Operator Error

I think this may be operator error on my part. There were several new posts since I was last on but most are showing as already being read. Even the green light thing next to the forum names aren't lit. Is there a setting I have that needs to be changed? Is it because I didn't log out when I left but just went to the next site? Is it because I am logged in at my antiquated laptop running ME and also on my cell phone?

Any help would be appreciated so I don't miss something new and possibly important to me.
